Bentonite is an absorbent aluminum silicate clay formed from volcanic ash which is used as a fining agent in wine. Add 1/2 teaspoon per gallon to 1 cup of boiling water and allow to stand for 24 hours. Mix into wine and allow to settle for 30 days.
